Closing conference of the ENERGIC-OD project

Launched in 2014, the ENERGIC OD project - European Open Data Network for Redistributing Geospatial Information to User Communities - is nearing completion. A closing conference will be held on Monday 4 September 2017 in Kehl, Germany.

The ENERGIC-OD project was launched in 2014 under the European Commission's framework programme for Competition and Innovation (CIP)

For three years, the project teams worked to promote the production of Open Data applications and services geared to new uses and to remove the technological barriers raised by the heterogeneity of geographical data and the lack of interoperable standards.

Project results presented at the closing conference on 4 September 2017 in Kehl

The closing conference of the ENERGIC-OD project will be held on 4 September 2017 in Kehl (Germany) during the preliminary workshops of the INSPIRE 2017 Conference.

The workshop presentations will cover:

  • The Virtual Pan-European Hub, developed as part of the project to aggregate the 5 national partner hubs;
  • A demonstration of the CNRS OnoMap//NoiseCapture application, one of the 10 applications developed under the project.

The purpose of the workshop is to discuss and publicise the role and usefulness of the Virtual Hub to ensure efficient and harmonised access and distribution of open data and facilitate their use by both data providers and end users.
