Landslide at Super Sauze


This landslide at Super-Sauze occurred in the 1960s, at an altitude between 2105 m and 1740 m. The total volume displaced is estimated at 750 000 m³. Photo taken from the bottom of the Super-Sauze landslide (Enchastrayes, 2010).

Erosion of the Aquitaine coast in the wake of the storms


Major erosion below the “Le Signal” building, just 15 metres distant from the cliff-top beyond a dune, following the December 2013 and January 2014 storms (Soulac-sur-Mer, Aquitaine, 7 January 2014).

Cliff fall in Upper Normandy, July 2013


When several cliff sections collapsed on 15th July near Etretat in Upper Normandy, the BRGM was called in to make the area secure.
