On 18 October 2018, at the international meeting of the Carbon Sequestration Leadership Forum (CSLF) in Melbourne, Australia, the CSLF recognized the valuable contribution of the ENOS project to advancing the development of CO2 storage and use technologies in the continental environment (onshore).
The ENOS project and BRGM recognized for their contribution to the development of CO2 storage
The CSLF is an international ministerial-level initiative on climate change that focuses on the development of CO2 capture and storage technologies. The members cover 25 countries, including France, and the European Commission.
This CSLF recognition enhances the visibility of the ENOS project, and BRGM as coordinator, by placing it alongside other high-impact CO2 capture, storage and use (CCUS) projects.
ENOS, an initiative of CO2GeoNet (the European network of excellence on CO2 geological storage, also recognized by the CSLF since 2005), is a project funded by the European Commission under the H2020 programme. It brings together 29 European partners representing 17 different countries, gathered around 5 field test sites.
Steve Winberg, President of the CSLF Policy Group, presented the certificate to Didier Bonijoly, Deputy Head of BRGM's Georesources Division, who represented Marie Gastine (BRGM), coordinator of the ENOS project.
