Renewable Energy Week

The BRGM is partnering and contributing to Renewable Energy Week, on 4 and 5 December 2018 in Paris.

Renewable Energy Week

Renewable Energy Week illustrates commitments to the energy transition by presenting the advantages and competitiveness of renewable heat sources and the different technologies available to set up projects.

Local sources of renewable energy to produce heat are now widely recognised and include fuelwood, geothermal energy, heat recovery, solar heating, biofuels.

The BRGM has expert competences in geothermal energy

Working with the professional sector, BRGM is contributing to the promotion and development of geothermal energy in every form.

The BRGM, as the French Geological Survey, is partnering Renewable Energy Week and contributing to the "intersectoral meetings" organised on the second day, 5 December. Philippe Rocher, who heads the BRGM's geothermal energy division, will be speaking on the advantages of deep geothermal energy, at 13:45.
